The conference will focus on interactions between quality of care, professional satisfaction and organizations, such as:
- Medical education – care quality and doctors’ health: Coping with work-life balance and delivery of good quality care.
- Medical practice and patient care: The doctors’ role in organizations; the impact of this on themselves and patients.
- Professional needs and doctors’ care: The balance between professional and personal needs in relation to quality of care in a changing healthcare system.
- Other topics: Including, but not restricted to: Artificial intelligence – different aspects, challenges and benefits of technology in the interactions between quality of care, professional fulfilment and organizations

Key Note Speakers
We have two excellent key note lectures that will be given by Professor Edvin Schei and Professor Stein Knardahl.
Professor Edvin Schei, MD, PhD. Schei is a practicing GP, professor at the University of Bergen in the fields of of general practice and medical education. His areas of expertise and research are clinical communication, medical professionalism, medical philosophy and education.
Schei will discuss good use of the doctor’s role – how can physicians create empowering relationships while dealing constructively with authority and uncertainty?
Title of his lecture: Doctoring as leadership – practical wisdom in medical relations
Professor Stein Knardahl, MD, PhD | Head of Department of work psychology and physiology at the National Institute of Occupational Health (STAMI). His areas of expertise and research are Neuroscience, Physiology, Psychosomatic Medicine, and Work psychology.
Knardahl will discuss relationships between work, motivation and health, examining employee competence in relation to good quality care, work environment and health of employees.
Title of his lecture: Motivation, health and human capital – how do work factors contribute?
